Abstract:  Zen Master Seung Sahn, the founding teacher of the Kwan Um School of Zen, died of heart failure at Hwa Gye Sa Temple in Korea on Tuesday, November 30, 2004. He was the 78th patriarch in his line of transmission in the Chogye order of Korean Buddhism. More than 10,000 people attended his funeral in the rain at Su Dok Sa, his lineage temple
